Destiny Library Automation Software is available in the media centers. Browser access will allow better availability for staff and students.
SchoolDude: ITDirect will allow the IT department to complete and manage the support tickets in a more effective manner. The Media Specialists and/or Building Requesters will use a web portal to enter support tickets for each building. All support will have to be requested through these individuals rather than phone calls or emails directly to the IT department.
Computer Auto Shutdown: At 6:00 pm each day, computers will have an auto shutdown completed if not properly shutdown by user during the day. Note-- A message will popup asking if user would like to continue to use the computer which enables use after 6:00 pm, if no one is present shutdown occurs.
Encryption: District laptops and external storage devices need to be encrypted by the IT Department. It is requested that District laptops and/ or storage device be brought to the IT office located at the District Admin Building.
Windows and Sophos Antivirus updates are critical to your computer's safe operation. Make sure that you are logging into the school network once a week with any District desktop and/or laptop computer assigned to you or located in your classroom to assure up to date file security.
Windows Passwords have been set to prompt account users to change every 90 days. Secure passwords will be created using a minimum of 8 characters - Letters, Numbers, Caps, Symbols required - Unique. Password change will affect all staff and Grade 4-12 students. IT support to change forgotten passwords will be through workorders.
